Question about 2003 Mazda Tribute
My 2003 mazda tribute has started to wobble when taking off. It gets really bad before it tapers off after gaining speed and then it is fine. also if it is locked in 4wd the wobble is still there but only slightly. it has been to a mechanic and he can't find the problem. said it might be the steady bearing on the drive shaft but that is some pretty expensive trial and error. Could it be something else?
Rear ujoint on rear drive shaft has a siezed bearing cup.Normaly when this happens you can tell which one it is because rust dust will be coming out at its seal. The best way to be sure is unhook the shaft and try to move the cross back and forth to feel for binding. This is fairly common on ford escape and mazda tributes.

You might have broken belts on the tires take it to a tire shop and have it inspect it for posible broken belts, make sure to go to a big place.
