Question about 2004 Audi allroad

1 Answer

I have a huge stream of bubble in the diesel fuel line of my AUdi allroad 2.5tdi, has anyone seen this problem and where it originates. It results in a hunting/Lurching on wide throttles as I suspect the FI pump cant deal with such huge quantities of air . Some suggestions have been fule filter body, but I would have thought this would show as a diesel leak, all pipes are dry underneath so I suspect maybe the lift pump in the tank ?

VW Passat 2lt TDi. Diesel Reconed Eng .replaced Injectors but doesnt want to start

When you open up the diesel injector lines (take injectors out) you let air into the system and the diesel cannot make its way past it. You have to bleed the lines by opening the injector lines at the injector by a half turn. (Always be careful with diesel injector systems, it is under enough force to shoot a stream right into and under your skin causing nasty results) Cover the injectors with a towel and turn the car over until diesel is leaking out of each line. (Keep away from injectors while turning it over!) After diesel is seen coming from injector lines, retighten injector lines and try starting.

If you can find someone with ETKA they may give you a diagram but it sounds like the transfer line between the two sumps is clogged.

Audi allroad wont start

Get it back to whomever did the job. Or maybe take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Turbo line is obviously leaking. If it's not cranking even with a jump you may have seized he engine. 2.7's are not cheap!

I have an 2003 Audi Allroad and the air suspension doesn't raise the car. The suspension light blinks in the 1 position. When I first start the car I am able to manually adjust to position 3 but nothing...

Couple of quick things to check, when the air system is trying to raise the car you should hear the pump running in the boot of the car ( lhs rear) . The pumps are known to fail but not too regularly. The more common issue is that the rubber bladders in the air springs develop hairline cracks which leak, more prevalent on the front than rear. Get a spray of soapy water and spray all round the bladder, start the car and select a higher ride height. You should be able to see bubbles....or indeed if its as bad as you identify you will be able to hear a hiss ( assuming the pump is running of course) New air springs are available and not too difficult to fit.....dont buy the hugely expensive stuff from Audi try Arnott Industries in the US, they have an excellent remanufactured replacement which is far superior. Hope this helps Iain

Allroad Tiptronic Gearbox "holding" gears before changing up.

Have you had the vehicle put on a diagnostic machine, does the car feel slugish, any lack of power, we have seen a lot of these vehicles with air mass sensor faults. When they fail they do not show a code but with the right scanner they can be seen not working. This affects the gearchange because the ecu does not have the correct data to shift. Of course it could also be the transmission is in need of overhaul. but i would take it to a good diagnostic garage first. It is not uncommon for the air mass sensor to fail after it has been disturbed or knocked in the workshop. we have never found out why.
