Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6065762-removing_door_panels . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

I don't have video, but below are some drawings of your door. The manual says to remove the switch panel first--does it have screws on it? Then disconnect the cables from the switch panel. I believe your panel has hooks like the pic at the above link. Remove the screws and pull the panel up. then disconnect cable connectors. Also, remove the speaker if you need to take the window regulator out. Let me know if you have questions.

Try a slim jim first, down the side of the window. Or AAA or locksmith. If no luck, remove the seat first. Find the screws and bolts around the door handle and arm rest. Most Ford's have screws around the outer side of the panel. I don't believe your's does. The panel lifts or pops off. Once the panel is off, you can reach down and open the door. Just a note. I have done some to where the panel came out in pieces.

1993 lexus sc400. Drivers window fell down inside door. Can hear the motor running. Is it just off the track? Thanks!!!

You will have to remove the door panel to find out

I would say 95% of the time, it is more than off the
track, if that is even possible.

In most cases the window regulator breaks or
wears out. Every vehicle is slightly different

Drivers side window will not go up, I think it's the motor. 202 mitsubishi galant 4 door

If u switch the WiNDOW and u hear some buzzing inside the door, means the motor is still working! Mostly the part easily get broken is the WiNDOW REGULATOR assembly! You could buy and replace the regulator only w/o the motor! Before putting a new regulator add some GREASE on the cable link and the plastic guide!
Taah!

Pull off door panel and jump power to motor to test. If it doesnt work you bought the right part. Then disconnect motor and work regulator up by hand then wedge regulator in spots to keep glass up till part arrives.

The drivers side window just fell, but i can still hear the motor turn when i push the button....what happened and how do i fix it??

Your window came off the track. You need to take the door panel off the inside of the door. Once you get the panel off you will see how the window operates and the track that it sits inside normally. I suggest purchasing a repair manual. A repair manual for your specific vehicle will have pictures to aid you and will boost your confidence to attempt the fix yourself. Remember, something made your window come out of the track. You'll have to figure that out before you bother putting everything back in place. A lot of those parts are made of plastic and become brittle. Good Luck

can you hear the motor trying to work the window? A fairly common problem is the window regulator breaks. this is the cable operated lifting mechanism that raises the window, when it breaks you can hear the motor winding away, accompanied by a faint clunking noise as the motor tries to operate the mechanism. They are quite difficult to replace.
if you cannot hear the motor working (also assuming all your other windows do work) then either to motor is faulty or there is no power to the motor. the wiring inside the rubber boot that goes from the car to the door (by the door hinges) is prone to breaking due to the constant flexing back and fourth as the door is opened and closed. switches can also fail, you may be able to swap the drivers/passengers switches around if they are identical for testing.

1994 geo prizm windows in back go down but not up.

is this on BOTH windows?? it is odd they both failed at the same time.
If you here the motor running there is something inside the door has let go or falling off. the door will have to be taken apart to be fixed.
this is what's inside YOUR door. (passanger side, drivers side is just a mirror image)
44e5675.jpg 1. there could be a problem between the motor gear and the moon gear. or 2 (most likely) the regulator arm has come off the window track or the window track has come off the glass.
hope this helps.
