It cranks, but just won't kick over. Someone said it may be flooded. I tried what the book said, and it turned over for about 15 seconds.

I moved the car to mow, and moved it back after I was done mowing. The next morning my wife tried to start it. The motor is turning but not starting. I marked the drive belt, so it is turning over. I thought maybe the fuel pump quit working. The car only has 26,000 miles on it. I only drive it in the summer. So everything is like new. I'm stumped. Could it possibly be the fuel pump? There is gas in the tank.

My rx8 will not start either. The engine turns over and all four plugs have fire but it will not crank. It does not seem to be getting fuel. We also checked the relays and they are working fine.

When quickly moving my 2005 RX-8 out of the way I noticed a day later it wouldn't start. First time this has happened in 3 years. After reading the tips on this site I attempted to double clutch and then turn the key and hold it to start (feels like forever) it spit and sputtered and after 3 attempts at this it started. The smoke was billowing out the back. I let it run a bit to warm, restarted again no problem.

Drive the car for at least a mile, no short moves, or just rev before you park to get the extra gas out of the chamber.

make sure you all using only one key for this car because some times copies will arm the antitheft system,

and try to add some fuel to the fuel tank some times the gage reads fuel but there is not fuel in the tank,

and this tipe of vehicles are not like to flood

most liketlly it is not floded.

How do I seal coat a driveway?

Clean it first with a good quality chemical such as (there are many many others)

http://www.autozone.com/miscellaneous-cleaners-and-degreasers/driveway-cleaner/drive-up-driveway-concrete-cleaner-degreaser/140065_0_0/

Using a gurney will assist. Oil stains may need 2-3 treatments.

Measure up the driveway to get a good idea of the area. You will need to check the coverage on the can to determine how much sealer to buy. Then get a good acrylic sealer

http://www.concretenetwork.com/driveway-sealer/

and apply it with a wide roller or lambswool pad. Normally you willapply 2 coats. Use a vapour mask to avoid the inhalation of too much solvent.

Drive to Parking.

i cannot be certain this is the issue but with newer model vehicles when you jump start another vehicle you need to be very certain you do not shock load the ECU. usually you put the lights on high beam, fan up high and radio on or you risk short circuiting the system. when you disconnected the system you might have shock loaded the computer. i would get a mobile mechanic to double check this is the issue and not a different problem that occurred in the same timeframe.

You say that it won't turn over? Can you hear a click when you turn the key to Start? If so, you may have a starter alignment problem. And since you've had the starter replaced, that would be a likely candidate. If there is no click, you may be having problems with the VATS. When you turn the ignition key to ON, is there a flashing warning light on your dash that says "Security", but it doesn't stop flashing? If so, the bypass that your husband referred to has failed. Go to this URL for information on how to re-bypass the VATS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKfn7J9CeZM

Good luck.

Car stops moving in reverse gear

Sounds like the car is just slipping out of gear. Keep your hand on the shifter when you back up next time. See if you can feel the shifter move when the car comes out of gear. If the shifter moves up when it happens keep pressure on the shifter holding it back like you dont want it to move forward. And of course if the shifter moves back when it comes out of gear, put forward pressure on the shifter so it doesnt slip out. This might work for now but but i know i wouldnt want to spen 700 for that ****. Let me know how it goes.
