YOU Most likely have a failing cv joint. look under car at both front wheels for torn boots on the axle shafts. boots will tear and let grease out and cause axle joint to fail. will need to replace axle

Ticking noise in 2009 pontiac g6 coupe

If the ticking noise sounds like its behind the dash,ch you could had a bad actuator on the air conditioning box. Most GM's have the same issue with the ticking noise when shutting the car off or turning it on. I have replaced several actuators mainly on Impalas.

Could be your blend door getting stuck thats making that ticking noise. Check your heater hoses to make sure they are getting hot. Check with caution theu may be very hot.

What could be ticking noise in 2003 cavilier air conditioner.?

with a/c on, turn the fan off. is there still a ticking noise?

turn the a/c off and turn the fan of mid way. is there still a ticking noise?

If the noise is only there when the fan run then there is a foreign object in the blower/fan of the air system. need to get at the blower to clean out the box.

There is a ticking noise when moving

The ticking noise could be coming from a CV joint. Does the ticking noise go away in reverse? A loose brake pad (Anti rattle clip missing or broken) will move back and forth in it's mounting, a warped rotor will enhance this effect, the ticking noise will come when the pads moves upward into it's mounting causing a metal on metal tick.
Does the ticking noise get louder when you are turning the vehicle? If it does this would indicate a worn CV joint.

Ticking behind glovebox

Does it sound like the noise the turn signal makes? Does the noise change if you change the speed of the blower motor? Do all the function of the heater work (defrost, vent, floor, recirculate, fresh air, hot, cold)?

There is a ticking noise everytime my car is on that sounds like the turn signal noise but theres no pattern or order to the ticking. i thought the hazard switch was bad, what could the ticking noise be?

It could be a relay clicking under the dash due to a bad ground circuit somewhere in the vehicle. It would be best to have a professional put an ear to it.

Ticking noise underneath the car approximately midway.

The sound you hear is the metal parts of your exhaust system and catalytic converter cooling down. Some cars are louder than others but the sound is perfectly normal.

Locate the ticking noise. It is a relay that has gone bad.
