If I'm installing headers on my 03 silverado is there anything else to consider after I install them like reprograming or anything to make sure it runs ok or can I just throw them on and call it a day?

Buy gaskets deffinatly. but no, no reprogramming required. However i do suggest a SUPER CHIP, its a piggy back tool that remaps the fuel and air intake for modified trucks to save MPG and/or increase Horsepower and Tourqe. If you are just installing headers, make sure to tighten the bolts going from the middle of the exhaust manifold(headers) outwords, keeping the tourqe the same on each bolt. otherwise you could lose compression and send a piston flying through your block.

Ecm and bcm reprogrammed, new spark plugs and wire, new fuel pressure regulator, new starter fuses, new gas pressure regulator, and new cam and crank sensor installed, but engine will not start. suspect...

Could be but how many miles are on this 1999 silverado? and what size engine.

you will need to check the alignment of distributor, make sure its lined up correctly then make sure you have fuel pressure to rail, and last are you getting spark to plugs.

if you think chain jumped then do a quick compression test and see what the readings are. make sure sparkplug wires are on correct.
These are a few things to check.

Hello i am welding on my 2000 chevy silverado z71 pick up should i unplug the computer and disconect the battery if so where is the computer

Hello there:
I wouldnt suggest disconnecting the computer simply due to the fact is that it will loose all of its storeed information and it would he to be reprogrammed and even though it may reprogram itself there is things that it may not be able to do then you will be stuck paying for the computer to be reprogrammed and this is not cheep
So i would definatly remove the battery from the vehical

I installed a Hypertech tuner on my 03 Silverado with a 4.8 L but i have to run 93 octane with it set at 87 tune and it still pings

those reprogramming devises are a joke, yes it pings cause youll either have to spend endless hours with a machine youll need to buy separately or you could take the easy route get the computer reflashed through the dealer with the money you get selling that thing, i recently ordered a diablosport and cant wait to get rid of it . good luck

Remove service brake system display from dashboard?

Check ABS system for codes. I have an '03 Silverado and have a faulty EBCM( Electronic Brake Control Module, "ABS module"). Can't reset anything. Only replacement of EBCM will fix it. Incidentally, if you have to replace it, you can check on Ebay for a rebuilt unit. You shouldn't have an issue with your "base" braking system though, if this is the case. ABS is electronically controlled and with or without it, your brakes will still function. I hope this helps.
