That is correct. However if there is a grease nipple it is meant to be greased on a regular basis. Some parts are pre greased and do just wearout and have to be replaced. But if a grease fitting was installed on certain parts it was installed for a reason. To be greased

Most cars these days have pre greased joints which do not require greasing, you just replace the part when it wears out, not a good idea but thats how it is.
