Question about 1996 Nissan Pickup

96 nissan pickup 4cyl. 2.4 lt Is missing a pulley. The top part of the pulley system and not the belt for the altinator. Can u tell me which pulley is missing so I can replace it?

on both timing pulleys there should be engraved dots on them you have to match these dots up to each other in order for proper aligned timing pulley

96 NissanPU 4cyl starts and idles good but as sson as I rev engine it bogs down cuts out and backfires


Crank position sensor. Sounds exactly like thats what your problem is. If your not mechanically inclined then it is not a job you want to attempt. If you are then it will be a cheap repair in terms of $ value anyway. The sensor is bolted centimeters from the crank pulley behind your timing belt not the harmonic balancer but the pulley behind that. Hope this helps you out. good luck.

What do i do to get new belt on


FOR THE 3.0L ENGINE IF YOU REPLACE AC BELT LOOSEN TOP IDLER PULLEY CENTER BOLT. IF YOU REPLACING ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP BELT LOOSEN ALTERNATOR ADJUSTMENT BOLT AND PIVOT BOLT.IF REPLACING POWER STEERING PUMP BELT LOOSEN POWER STEERING PUMP ADJUSTMENT BOLT AND MOUNTING BOLTS.****** FOR THE 2.4L ENGINE TO REMOVE POWER STEERING BELT LOOSEN TOP IDLER PULLEY.FOR ALTERNATOR AND WATER PUMP BELT LOOSEN ALTERNATOR ADJUSTER BOLT, PIVOT AND MOUNTING BOLTS.FOR AC COMPRESSOR LOOSEN LOWER IDLER PULLEY.

Need to know where the crank shaft position sensor is on a 97 nissan pickup


1997 Nissan/Datsun Truck Pickup 2WD 2.4L SFI 4cyl The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located: Under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted in rear driver side of engine block.

Timing marks 96 nissan pickup


ok? Here is my assumption of what you need. On the 91 the timing mark is a straight pin near the main pulley. the actual marks are on the pulley. Clean it off and you should find them.

That should be right if it is an idler pulley. On belts that do not have idler pulley you will have to loosen lock bolt on adjuster. Like alternator
