Question about 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager

1 Answer

It died driving to work, just like that it stoped running and wont start. didnt stutter when it died. I performed spark tests and there is no spark from the distributor or the coil. I took out the crank sensor and did a continuity test and it seemed dead so i got a new one and it still wont spark. (did a continuity test on new one and it read ok) people are telling me the timing belt, but it is still intact, so im not sure that is it. i mean, if i get a new belt wont it still do the same thing if if the old one is still there? Im a novice at mechanics, so i dont really know what im doing, lol. any advice would help a great deal, thx in advance!

Truck stuttered and died now wont start

yup it can in the distributor you have a white plastic coil .very common for these to just die. you have to pull the distributor to change . when you begin make sure number 1 cylinder is at top dead center . it makes it easie to put everything back together . your rotor will point to the number 1 cylinder on reassmebly then set timing ........ You have turned it over with a spark wire off right to see if it sparkes. do this first !

Check or replace all your fuel filters. Check for water in your fuel. Drain your tank and replace with 93 octane fuel. Also check your spark plugs.

Doesn't seem to have spark?? did you use a tester?? basic needs, spark tester(in line works best) fuel pressure guage, injector signal tester(noid light) and finally compression guage, rad tester optional, check spark and injector signal, the remove spark plugs and note their color, do a compression test, all cylinders should read within 10 percent, lo compression on one or two indicate head gasket, no compression timing belt, have fun

front air suspension shocks need to be replaced. Also for stuttering, there is either a vacuum leaky or bad spark plug wire. Bad 02 sensors would also cause this but the check engine light would be on if it was a sensor or anything electronically wrong

My 89 camry stalled on me and know it wont start.

No clicking mean no power to the solenoid to engage the contact for the starter. If starter is not turning, you will not have spark. It stalled when you drove since not power to turn on the Electronic Fuel injection so you don't have gas. Now you don't have electric to your starter, then I suggest that you have some one to check ECM before starting replacing Starter, Fuel Injection...

Wont start after it died one night

The cap should be marked for number 1. The distributor turns clockwise. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.
