2004 Chrysler Crossfire- will not start

HELP!!

I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire that will not start.
We have put a brand new battery. That did not work. I took it back to dealership.
This time they put in a cylinder lock and housing. Kept the car almost a month. Got it back Friday drove it 70.6 miles. Guess what? It would not start when i got in it Saturday evening.
I am sure some one has had this problem before me.

i am having the same issue with my 2004 crossfire. it is currently in the shop. i couldn't get the steering wheel to unlock and the key wont turn in the ignition. its like my entire car is in lock down mode. the dealership is now saying that i have to replace those same parts and the cost is going to be $1,200. i freaked out. now they are looking to see if the 70,000 mile drivetrain warranty will cover it. does anyone know if it will? they say i need a new key and everthing! something tells me that its something else causing the problem! HELP!!!!

mY chrysler crossfire will not start. When i put the key in the ignition, all the lights, light up on the dashboard and the engines ventilating system starts up but it wont start. I then leave it for a couple of hours and it starts. I also started to lose speed on the motorway untill gradually it came to a halt and would not start again. I have taken it to the chrsler mechanics and the first tome they changed some sensors on it and the same problem reoccured so i had to have it towed back to them. After having the car for more than 6 weeks, they said it was the module that was at fault and needed to be changed. They changed the module and wo days later after picking the car up from the garage the same problem happened again. I drove it out or my garage for 10 minutes and then stipped at a petrol station and the car wouldnt start. Again, i left it for 2 hours and then went back and it started no problem Please somebody help!!!!!

Twice I have parked my car and tried to restart it and it would not start. Everything else is running fine - radio, air, lights, etc. just nothing from the engine. First time it happened I tried again about 2 hours later and it started and worked fine for about 2 months, this time it just now happened again and I am about to go retry it.

I had the same problem with my 2005 and I had it in and out of the dealership. After about 4 times of taking it in they found that it was a relay in the ignition system. I had problems with the car dieing as I was driving. I also had issues withe the car not starting after I got somewhere. When you try to start the car the lights and everything would come on but the engine would not turn over or make any noise at all. For me this was all under the factory warranty.

I have a 2005 Crossfire, had the problem with car not starting, or cutting out on me on the road. Had it in to the Chrysler dealership several times. After leaving me sitting on a major highway late at night, I took it to a Mercedes dealership and it turned out to be a relay. Have had no further problems!!

Went to dealership today about airbag light on dash CrossfireForum org

Unfortunately it will likely need to be scanned to determine why the light is on.

Glass seperating from convertible top. Top is like brand new and I can't afford a whole new top. Any suggestions? From everything I've read on the web it looks like this car has had this problem alot. ...

Your glass was originally heat sealed to the top material. If the delamination area is small, you may be able to refasten it with urethane adhesive. The same stuff that glass shops use to glue windows to metal. If the delamination has progressed farther than 4-6 inches, you need a new top.
Don't bother with a glass shop, they don't do convertibles. Talk to a convertible top or auto upholstery shop.

My Crossfire clatters upon start up. Once the

I also own a '04 Crossfire and the clatter upon start up is very common. Although I believe it is the lifters, I've been told that the Mercedes fuel injectors are the main culprit to the ticking. But like you I have been agitated by this since buying the car. Recently mine went from just a ticking to a definite top end knocking and am being told today by the dealer that it is the lifters sticking. Don't know if a valve job and lifters will resolve the initial ticking, but I have my fingers crosses considering the $1018.00 price quote.

It turns out that the fuel pump relay is the problem and that this (per chrysler) is a common problem with the crossfire.
