Not sure why all other parts removed? Locate the water pump by following the lower radiator hose to the motor...the connection is part of the water pump housing...Also look at the replacement water pump to see what few bolts need to be removed to switch the pump. Be sure to use a water pump gasket sealer when applying the new water pump gasket...coat both sides as this also helps to hold in place while re-assembling. Reconnect all hoses and clamps...install the belt before testing...Talk with your local parts store also...the water pump usually comes with a replacement diagrahm too. Hope this helps.
YEP THE 2.4 ENGINE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONER AND TIMING CHAIN.THIS JOB NOT EASY OR HARD BUT IF YOU NEVER DONE ANY KIND AUTO MECHANIC WORK BEFORE JOB WILL BE HARD.IF YOU WANT TO TRY IT.BUY A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL READ THROUGH IT.THAT WAY YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO REMOVE AND REPLACE WATER PUMP.

loose the water pump pulley bolts with the belt still on
remove the belt
remove the pulley
remove the bolts on water pump
remove the water pump
well here it is, hope u have a few hours (or a couple days, depending on ur mechanical skills)
remove the alternator and belt, remove the support bracket for the alternator and remove the water pump. The water pump is a big assembly and is also the support bracket for the alternator. This is a pretty hard job to do and i suggest u have it done in a garage because the 2 top blots holding the water pump are very hard to get to.
While ur at it replace the water pump at same time, this is EXTREMELY RECOMENDED.
