There is plastic trim in the middle of the complete dash, between the metal bottom and the dash pad,it just pops right off, remove the ashtray, you will see 4 screws directly under the section you trying to remove, remove them, now above the gauges, and above the stereo, and under the dash pad you will see ,i think 5 or 6 screws, remove them, now take a putty knife or straight screwdriver ang get under the plastic on top, carefully pry down and pull towards you, once you get it pulled out, pull it up out, just be carefull..it is plastic and will break..

87 ford ranger wont start replaced pulugs and wires

Common Sense - tells you that replacing spark
plugs & wires, while they may be an issue, or due
to be replaced, they won't all fail at once & cause
a no start

You need to check for fuel pressure at the motor
with a gauge & check for spark or injector pulse, while
cranking the motor with the starter.

Compression has to be on all cylinders & any timing
belt or chain in place & working correctly

The pins / wedges just tap out use a scewdriver on the metal edge of the pin just tap it out to the rear and when putting them back in just tap them back in from the front. You will see they are diamond shape and metal cased around rubber very easy to do just take your time.

Trying to put a heater core in a 1998 ford ranger and don't know how. Do you have a diagram to go by. step by step. thank you.

Disconnect heater hoses. Remove glove box. Remove cover fro heater core (8mm screws) . Remove parts in way of cover. Replace heater core. reassemble. I would recommend flushing system first. Top off coolant.

Trying to identify rear differential on 87 ford ranger 7.5 or 8.0 need to replace since teeth from gears were in case.

You most likely have the 7.5, as that was the stock rear axle on older rangers.
There should be a tag on the differential cover bolt that has the gear ratio and differential size on it.
