Question about 1987 Ford Crown Victoria
Double check your timing and if the vehicle has a dwell setting double check the dwell. You said you replaced the cap but did you replace the Rotor as well? I believe it is a timing issue more than anything else but you should always replace Cap and Rotor at the same time.
