Hey thanks> I also wondered....I read online that if I was replacing the switch with a used one it is plug and play. Only new ones need programming. True?

Need Help....Have a 2006 Chevy trailblazer LS ....Driver door window switch and/or module is bad. The other window sitches work at their location. And sometimes the four window switches workd at the drivers side location and sometimes they are all dead. Is this the switch or the module or both? How do I get to them, by taking of the armrest? Also, if it is just the switch, does it still need to be reprogrammed? Please send answer to my email, danielmuscatell@yahoo.com or call me at 3076994190. Thank u.

Chevrolet has a recall and replacement for the drivers side switch. Mine was done last summer through our local Chevy dealer. Call one and inquire. Take care.

SOURCE: programming replaced master door switch 06 trailblazer

No. not the switch. Check to see if you have power going into it. I don't have the wire diagram, but you can take a test light and check each line. At least one will light up with the key on. Certainly check your fuses.

Hope this helps

2006 Chevy Trailblazer with both driver side and passenger side heated seats and all electrical seat adjustments stopped working all at one time. What may be the cause of this?

You have a power seat circuit breaker in rear fuse box, that circuit is hot all the time. The orange wire carries voltage to seat adjuster switch. You need to check ground for adjuster switch, also.

If circuit breaker is overheating it will cause an open circuit.

Drivers door control panel (power window heated seat locks ect ) what to do none of it is working 2006 chevy trail blazer

Check fuse #10 in the rear fuse panel. If fuse OK, try switching passenger side control module into driver's side. Also check for broken wires in wiring harness that goes between body and driver's door.

2006 Trailblazer LT with power everything. Driver door & buttons (window & lock control) got very wet yesterday during heavy rain. Everything worked as of 6:00pm yesterday. This morning though,...

I think you're in luck. There is a recall for the master switch due to this very issue. Act like you don't know what's wrong, they'll need to replace it to an updated one that won't be so prone to water infiltration.

How do you program a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer EXT new power window master control switch?

{: ) After installing the new driver door/window switch, the programmer needs to have access to GM's TIS2Web service, and a diagnostic tool like the Tech2 or MDI to interface computer with the vehicle through the DLC terminals.

Window left open during rain now power window and lock not working on driver side door on 2006 chevy trailblazer

{: ) That's too bad. The driver door module could have been internally shorted out. It's normally not serviceable. A new driver door switch or module will need to be programmed to your vehicle before it functions properly.

No controls on driver side of my 2006 trailblazer

sounds like your drivers door module either fried or lost power, if you can get it scanned it should come up with a trouble code, or if your inclined, you can check the connectors on the module for the switches and make sure they are in all the way. just gently pull up on the trim around the switches starting at the rear of the trim, 2 clips hold it in place, it should pop out, then you can check the connectors
