Question about Pontiac Grand Prix
Jack up car with jack under the lower control arm, enough to get tire off the ground. With tire on, grab tire outside edges at 3 oclock & 9 oclock, push in & pull out respectively on each hand. Look for play in bearing between bearing & cv shaft. You can also see play in outer & inner tirods if any. Now move hands to 12 oclock & 6 oclock, push in & pull out & check for play in upper & lower balljoints. You should be able to verify whatever component is loose.
