You have turned on the cruise control system ON... To know how to use it, read your owners manual to set the highway speed.

If you don't have the owners manual, I will link the free site from Toyota. Its broken down to 23 PDF files.

I found this useful diagram at troubleshoot vehicle.com. It answers your question. Fuse box is located below steering column.

Corolla cruise control not turning on

There should be a sensor near the brake pedal. When you press the brake the cruise turns off.

Do you get the light in the dash?

Cruise control

I am assuming that the cruise control is not operational, so I would recommend that you check the fuse for cruise control and make sure that it is good and making contact. If that is not the issue, then you are looking at either a faulty cruise control switch (highly unlikely) or there is an issue with the cruise control connection on the fuel injection system.

I hope that you have found this information to be useful, and if I can be of any further assistance, please let me know. Thank you for using fixya!

Temperature and direction fuse location

* does your cruise control work?
* do you brake lights work?
* does your dome light work?
The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights.
A dim or dead display is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

I would love to help you but your basically asking how to steal your own car and others might use the information for illegal purposes so i suggest you get it towed to a stealership (dealership).

What is Cruise Control and O/D

Cruise control allows the driver to push a button thereby setting and holding the car's current speed. This allows you to take your foot off the acceleratot pedal and "cruise." Modern "Cruise" systems also have added feature like increasing or decreasing your speed, and coasting so that you can adjust your speed for traffic or road conditions without exiting the cruise function. Touching the brake pedal automatically turns the cruise function off; or you can exit by turning cruise button to "off" at the touch of your thumb or fingertips. Cruise helps on long trips by reducing fatigue, and keeps you from going over the speed limit by setting your speed to the posted limit.

Hope this helps. I will address overdrive in another post. Thanks, TaterTodd
