You may have to let the dealer re-program the theft deterrent processor

How can I bypass the anti theft system on my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee

alarm or Immobilizer, which? its 2 things,
one prevents(lol) entry, other kills engine fueling,.(immo) (theft)

did you google that, i see you have not.
as there is no lack of information on that topic.
you stated bypass, what is that. mean.?
hack it and defeat for ever.? and which part?
or to just not enable the alarm part?, as stated clearly in the operators guide, (lost that>)?
if you use the metal key on the door lock this will disable (for now)
the alarm. mines been off for 5 years,now..
but the IMMO is not hackable.99+ sorry not.

1999 and newer skim keys (immo) is not hackable.
and if it were, id never tell you, ..... but its not.

the older cars are.... but you can google as well as me....

2001 jeep grand cherokee the whole key ignition is out

as in all cases like this for jeeps.
1: check fuses first.
2: use both keys, lost them, you are doomed with immobizer..
doom means, only a certified lock smith or dealer or shop can fix this failure.
3: if the IMMO light glows, SKIM light. you cant start it ever.
BY DESIGN !
4: if you can get the CEL lamp go glow it cant start either.

5: connect scan tool, bingo it tells you why it drops the ASD relay, and that reason is, IMMO (skim)did that. and why.
"DTC wrong key " i bet.

welcome to IMMO land.
immobilizers...

Wont start

Usually the error in the odometer area of the dash is caused by a serial data communication error. This problem is keeping the skim"security immobilizer" from telling the PCM that the vehicle is not being stolen. Most times I would recommend the dealer for communication and security related problems.

Immobilizer problem in my 2001 grand cheroke

I'm assuming that you are talking about Inmobilizer System; normally the immobiliser is spliced into the wiring so that it can interrupt three or more circuits (e.g. starter, fuel pump, ECU etc etc). This is normally done in some hard to find place like buried right under the dashboard - so it could be an awkward job. Your best bet is probably to contact an alarm fitter who will know the 'usual' places that the splicing is done on this vehicle.

If you have any problem to tutn on the engine, check this system (inmobilizer); other possibilities is the Neutral Safety Switch (mounted in the Trans) and finally, could the crankshaft adjust or go to bad.

Kee us updated and send us your comments after to check it.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't Turnover

Jeep 2001 Grand Cherokee turns over but never starts. Doesn't run for 2 seconds and turn off. Immobilization indicator does light, flash once and remain on. All analog gauges on instrument panel are not functioning. Everything else electrically works in vehicle.
