If you run vehicle without coolant this deteriorates the freezeplugs faster , replace with brass one's when you do it and yes they do sometimes fail

Water leak on passenger side of engine.

leaking freeze plug. block sealer should fix problem if veh is running fine, and only losing small amounts of water if it's pouring out as soon as you put water in then will need to replace the freeze plug, may have to remove exhaust manifold to do so, depending on which freeze plug is leaking, (if easily accessible most parts stores have rubber expansion freeze plugs, that you can put in and tighten down with a wrench or socket)

Need freeze plug replaced on 1999 nissan sentra 4 dr sedan. What would it cost where is the plug?

there are several, and it depends what has to be remove to access the plug. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on these, as usually they last the life of the car, unless you have not used good quality anti freeze. If one is leaking, others may not be far behind.

My 1997 Nissan Maxima 4 door sedan is leaking coolant/anti-freeze. What could be the source of this leak? We fill it up and after several days it is out and the engine gauge is running hot.

could be the water pump. where is the coolant coming from?? behind the a/c compresor?? if so, you need a new water pump. need to know location of the leak or at least general location if you can not get exact.

Got a slow leak at back side of motor not sure were from what all connects in that area and could freeze plugs have small leak or they just blow out

freeze plugs can get rusted and leak out coolant but if it is a freeze plug leaking, it will get worse. have you checked the intake manifold gaskets for a leaking problem. hope this steers you in the right direction.

Trunk is full of water! 1997 Sentra

How do you know the trunk seal is not leaking? Did you sit in the closed trunk while someone sprayed copious amounts of water over it? The other most common leak spot is from one of the tail lights. There is a goopy material that goes aroung the tail light that is supposed to seal it. You can usually pick this up at a auto supply store. It can also be coming from a body seam in the trunk. Check the lights and then check the body seams.
