Front end alinement plus toe and camber has been checked car tracks fine BUT outside edge of tires are wearing

Once a wear pattern is set in the tires, it will continue to wear even if the aignment is within spec.
Another contributor could be if you are taking hard turns and rolling the tire over a bit and causing excessive wear on the outside edges. Low pressure makes this even worse. Could that be the cause?

Outside edge will wear on passenger side --- power steering causes this ,but if both tyres are wearing then have it tracked with a good old fashioned type tracking bar ,these laser things are only as good as the operator ,if it shows up as parallel then you could have worn bushes on the track control arm,is this vehicle subject to a annual vehicle mechanical inspection like in europe or just an emmisions test american style

508 front tyres wearing at the outside edges not in the middle


No year on vehicle, as cars get older, parts wear out, may need some front end parts, Could just need an alignment. Usually positive toe and or positive camber cause outside edges to wear out. Proper air pressure is important too.

Front tires wearing on inside very quickly on 1998 Mazda B2500


This may be due to the alignment being out of specification or possibly loose front end parts throwing your alignment out.

My C70 has way more wear on the inside of the rear wheels. So I took it for new tires and a 4 wheel alliegnment. The tire shop says that this wear is due to excess negative camber and at 2 1/2 degrees on...


2.5 degrees negative camber is not within spec. You need new control arms in the rear. These will set your camber back to the factory setting and reduce your tire wear on the inner edge. The first shop you went to is correct, the camber cannot be adjusted, components must be replaced to rectify the excessive camber. Ive done a couple of New Style C70 rear control arms for this very reason, if your vehicle is under warranty however, the dealer needs to be able to prove that the car needs it. So if you dont have wear on your tires and when the toe was set it readjusted the camber (when you adjust toe it affects camber and caster measurements) then they cant prove to Volvo that it needs the control arms. Someone told me my car is toed in with the tires, now all of my tires are baldining on the outside?


You need a front end alignment. That is what is meant by toed in....bad camber.

My front tires are showing wear, and they toe out when in reverse


Be sure to have tires rotated every 5000-6000-miles. Walmart is good for that.
Outside wear is normal for fronts from the turns at higher speeds.
When tierod ends were replaced it is advisable to get front end aligned. Its not impossible to replace with minimum change but if settings were done with worn parts, new parts will change it.

Tires wearing inside on 2008 Impala LT


this is a wheel camber (in and out tilt of wheel and tire) problem, u may have to have a Camber adjustment kit put in, most new cars have no adjustment provided for this. the bottom line here is you need to see a really good front end shop to get this taken care of, also the tires will continue to wear this way even if problem is corrected, so may want to replace them or rotate them.

Toe-in drivers side


You adjust toe with the tie rod ends they are threaded, the kind of method you describe will most likely make the problem worse, also outside wear is caused by the tilt of the wheel, that is called camber, on most cars the camber is fixed, the front end tech must do special mods to get this to be adjustable, some times drill out rivets, other time a kit must be installed.

the tires,check if theyre worn out,make sure you check the inside edgea,if they're wearing unevenly,replace them and get an alignment from someone you trust,make sure the caster/camber and toe are in spec.-toe and camber are tire wearing angles-camber the most-if the inside or outside edges are worn more,or when you drive and let go of the steering wheel,it tilts to one side,camber problem,make sure tires are inflated correctly,about 32-36 psi,check ur gas flap for bmw recommended pressures-u should be safe with what i gave you-so yeah,check tire pressures and wear-if tires feathered,too much toe in or out-this should take care of your problem,good luck

Your situation is not not abnormal. Since you can't rotate due to different sizes front & rear & they are high performance "Y" speed rated tires 30K is really pretty good
