    4yrs 3mths -59,000 Kms/ 36,875 Mls.
The noise only happens when I apply the brake and it doesnt start until the vechile slows to about 20 kmp/ 12 mph.
the noise it makes is like a fan if you were to put something against it to slow it down.
the noise stops when the vechile comes to a halt

If it was a wheel bearing would it not be continous. yes it stops but the brake pedal feels spongey,David

    Thank you,
    on the average
mostly city driving what would be a normal mileage to expect from a new vechile braking system,

First off how many miles are on the vehicle and how long have you owned it? Could you describe the noise in more detail.
Thank you,
Lee

It sounds to me like you may have an issue with the wheel bearing/s. Does it make a difference at all if your turning? I would have those checked first. I am assuming the brakes are all good. There is no vibration or problem stopping?
    Thanks,
    Lee

and when is the last time the brakes were checked/replaced? It could be a few different things. Your sway bar end links. Your u-joints. It is hard to say specifically based off the little information I have. Any qualified mechanic should be able to tell pretty quick with a visual inspection. It could also be a caliper issue. Like I said hard to tell based on the little information I have.
    Thank you,
    Lee

I hear Grinding noise when I apply brakes to my Saturn Vue 2006 V6. Mechanic has replaced brake pads, rotors, wheel bearing hubs, Brake calipers. I don't know why the noise is not going away?

You may have too much brake oil pressure being applied when brakes are called for. Have Mechanic check you vehicles master cylinder for leaks.

Clutch issues

This is a hydraulic clutch, meaning you push fluid to make the clutch move just like the brakes.
I would check the clutch master cylinder first to see if it is full of fluid.
The master or slave cylinder could have failed, among other things.
Grinding gears means the clutch disk is not moving.

Bleeding the brakes on a 2005 saturn vue

I would start by removing the wheels and finding the bleed screw or bolt.
Pour a little brake fluid on the bolt to free up the rust that will form over time.
Then use a box end wrench to open the bleeder.

Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid and have some ready to add as you bleed the brakes.

Have an assistant push down on the brake pedal until it bottoms out and fluid squirts out of the bleeder screw area.

Watch your eyes.

Then tighten the bleeder screw.

Have them pump up the brakes again.

Do this in sequence from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder to the closest, and you'll be done.

I have a 2006 saturn vue v6. making a loud noise in the front. what is it? :)

Thats a vague problem description.
could be brakes, suspension, drive train.

If it's a scary sound get some body to check it out, because a failed suspension or brake problem is dangerous

2004 Saturn VUE AWD V6 has a harsh grinding sound in front wheels

Have you checked your wheel bearings? When these go out you can get a harsh grinding noise. This sounds like that is what it might be. Does it happen when you are going fast/slow turning/going straight? I know you said it's inconsistent but the more info the better. However, if I had to bet, based on what you have already said, it's your wheel bearings. Let me know if you have further questions. Thanks for using FixYa!
