Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier

1 Answer

Running and power

What is the firing order of a 97 2.2L cavalier? And the car has just been fixed but now is grinding on the front passenger wheel and shakes when idling and stalls when turning ******* steering wheel and when going from park to drive. Also there is a pin hole in the fuel line, could this be the problem of the stall? The check engine signal is always flashing too. It sounds like a riding lawn mower, only not as smooth. It has a very slow response to acceleration and seems to have no power on inclines or declines. Do you have any idea what is going on?

Actually driving with the check engine light flashing will damage your catailic on the exaust seems to be than you have a misfire,
most of the times the coil have the number of what cilinder the cable goes to, pay attention to that or get a book for your car at any autoparts and you'll find the inf.

Grinding noise around front wheel hub on Chevy cavalier

I would guess it is your wheel hub, but if it occurs while the car is on and not moving, it might be your a/c compressor. When they go out they make a terrible grinding noise.

Grinding front passenger wheel when turning right

grinding on front wheel is caused by 2 things. a bad or loose wheel bearing,or worn out brakes, have them both checked You might also want to check the level of fluid in the power steering reservoir - low or lack of fluid will also cause a noise (although more of a whining than a grinding).
This can also be caused by worn or damaged central velocity joints if the vehicle is front wheel or four wheel drive.

I cant figure out the right order of the plug

Firing Order on 2.2 liter: 1-3-4-2
Cylinder number: 1-2-3-4 from passenger to driver's side
From the coil from fire wall to radiator: #1 coil 4-1 #2 coil 3-2 Good luck and this should help you get your car running 100% again.

Rumbling & grinding under front end

Watch out! You might have a loose wheel! Check those wheel nuts. If not, a loose brake caliper, or last if not least, a bad wheel bearing. Don't drive it until you find out what the heck is wrong! Could be dangerous.

04 cavalier makes grinding noise in front end turn the wheel to the right grinding gets worse turn the wheel to the left grinding stops. it sounds worse at 40mph and above. what would cause this?

3 things to check:
Worn disc brake pads, grinding against the rotor.
Wheel bearing
cv joint.
You posted grinding gets worse turning to the right, the problem is the driver side wheel, but it would be best to have both wheeles checked.
