Question about 1997 Ford Thunderbird LX
Look into it, but it could be a noise generated from the strut and not from the control arm (or A arm). If it is the control arm that is squeaking, the culprit will most likely be the control arm bushing. I can't tell yo uoff the top of my head but many control arm bushing on newer vehicles are not replaceable and the entire control arm must be replaced as a unit. You might be able to simply buy a bushings and have them replaced. But keep in mind that while you will save part money that way, you will end up paying more for labor. You will also need to have the vehicle aligned after any work is performed to the front end.
