I changed front calipers on a 2001 cavalier and now cant get them to bleed no pressure

The master brake cylinder may be bad. Also the flex tubes that connect the front calipers may have collapesed inside and need replacing. Does fluid squirt out with one disconnected?

check the level of dot 3 oil in the reserves...remember you replaced the lines and air has gotten into it- ti may take a bit to fill caliper..
if this doesnt work there might be a problem with the brakes fluid dispersion- it regulates the amount of fluid to each wheel...

Rear brakes dragging

Normally I would say check the brake hose, but that would only be for one wheel.
If the rear brakes are not releasing normally, either something is keeping pressure applied, or the calipers are not sliding back. If both inner and outer pads are wearing down equally on both wheels, I would look for a pressure problem. If only the outboard pads are wearing, the calipers are sticking in place.

Pump the brake pedal then go check and see witch caliper is hanging up release the bleeder on the affected one if fluid comes out under pressure and the caliper then frees (wheel would have to be off ground ) the flex hose could be falling apart inside and pluggin up.Replace flex hose.

Anti-rattle clips can really be a head scratcher. Try orienting them differently. Their purpose is to place a slight lateral pressure on the caliper so when your driving over RR tracks and stuff the calipers don't rattler around annoying the heck out of you. When installed they should be tight and snap into place.

How do i remove rear brake caliper on a 2002

Nothing. On the front disk there are only two bolts that hold the caliper in place. Once they are all the way out it is just a matter of wiggling and pressure to remove the caliper. The rear calipers are also held on with 2 bolts but because of the way the brake line attaches you also have to remove that to remove the caliper.

2001 silverado 1500, just put on new pads rotors and 1 new caliper, the brakes are spungy, the wheel with the new caliper is sticking and the front passanger brake too, i cant figure out why.

Replace both front brake hoses.....they collapse on the inside and will not allow fluid to retract...caliper was probobly fine.....this happens a lot....good luck...Lee

I cant get the front caliper off.

Open the bleeder screw to relieve some of the pressure this should help but after prying the caliper off with two large prybars or screwdrivers be sure to bleed the caliper in case any air got into the caliper.
