Automatic? Through the hole where you check the trans fluid (dip stick). Warning: DO NOT OVERFILL!!! Overfill will likely result in damage to the trans and possibly a fire when the oil over heats and runs out of the dip stick hole and falls onto the hot motor.

Manual? There is a hole on the side of the box. Hole is plugged with a 1/2" pipe plug or similar. You will have to pump the 80- or 120 weight oil in as the hole is high on the box and will not allow you top put the container high enough to allow gravitity to assist you with this.

Manual transmissions rarely need oil ... remove the plug and put your finger into the hole. When you take your finger out ... there should be oil on it.

Why wouldnt daihatsu sirion take any gear after changing automatic transmission oil?

There are a couple reasons. First, it could be the wrong oil, but I'm guessing you probably already ruled that out. Second, once you drain the transmission pan and refill it, you must run the vehicle and cycle through all the gears to get fluid into all the hydraulics of the transmission. This will most often result in needing to add more fluid. You must be careful not to add too much transmission fluid though, since this can cause foaming and loss of hydraulic pressure as well.

Change transmission fluid rav4 2003

There is a shallow pan under your vehicle, the deeper one would be your oil pan, you will need the new gasket and probably a filter to replace once you get the pan off, replace filter, gasket, refill, once refilled you will need to: w/parking brake on and foot on brake you will have take it slowly but not too slow thru all your gears from p to 2 if you have all the low gears, but then take it back thru the gears again.check for leaks, then check the fluid level, add as needed.

Please review the following:

1. Review the oil level of the transmition, if you see the dip stick without oil, add 1qrt until you see the dip stick with a mark of oil

drain the rear axle oil and inspect it, if it looks normal, no metal, then refill it with the oil recommended in the owners manual, you may also need to add a "slip additive"
