Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue

My 2000 intrigue is overheating. I've already changed the thermostat and coolant. Any ideas? It seems to happen most if I drive a short distance, turn it off, and then turn it back on to drive home.

Water pump may be bad or the radiator could be clogged. May also check to make sure the cooling fans are working properly.

00' intrigue is over heating with ac on and parked. Any idieas why?

My only guess is either the temperature pressure switch is malfunctioning, or you have a leaking intake manifold. I would do a coolant pressure test on the radiator, put a/c on full blast while driving, or turn a/c completely off while driving. BUT, drive a good distance, when doing both. Release pressure before driving. As soon as you get back, do another immediate pressure test, then check your heater hoses under dash behind motor for leaks. This will put severe strain on the heating and cooling system as well as the a/c accumulator and condensor lines. Hope this helps

2000 oldsmoble intrigue has no heat at idle

Sounds like there is still air pockets in the coolant system, let idle to full temp with the cap off and the car on an upword angle to alow air to move then while engine running and coolant if needed to hot mark on the coolant tank.

2000 3.8 Impala keeps overheating even after changing thermostat. Did not overheat after short trips, after changing it, but started back after driving over 20 miles. Temp gauge goes to red and coolant...

Sounds like there could be an air pocket in your cooling system. If the job was done by a mechanic take it back. If a "friend" helped you, tell him to rebleed the system. Also seems like your water pump might be bad. If it was overheating before changing the thermostat and is still doing the problem only worse then I would assume the pump needs to be changed. If the pump is bad, there is no doubt that air is in the system still and causing the overheating to occur even faster.

My 2000 intrigue olsmobile star ok but after 20 minutes looks like overheating

Make sure the coolant is full, and your fans are coming on. Besides that, could be a bad thermostat, or radiator.
