Hopefully the hydrolic system was not opened when you were fitting, in which case all you need do is pump the brake pedal a few times to achieve correct pressure. If you did open the bleed nipples or worse, you'll have to bleed the system. This will require two people or even three. One person to keep the pot under the bonnet topped up, one inside pumping the brake pedal and the third under the vehicle....The meathod of bleeding is to pump the pedal at least four times and hold it down with the foot. The peson underneath opens the nipple and as the pressure releases pushdown with your foot untill you can't push further and hold it there, at which time you yell, close! The guy underneath closes the nipple and then you begin again. the guy under the bonnet should make sure that the resviour is topped up. Begin with the wheel furthest from the brake cylinder, in other words at the rear and finish with the closest. Cheers and Regards Johngee

I've got a 2009 range rover sport brake pads have been replaced and sensors also but the brake pads worn warning will not go off please someone help me

I would suggest the following. Get a good lamp or torch. Put the vehicle safely up on axle stands or a vehicle lift. Take each wheel off, one at a time and trace the sensor wire from the pads. Check it is securely fitted in the pad and plug in point. Then trace the wires back past that point. The wiring further back can get worn over time.

Why does fuse blow when brake pedel pressed rangerover p38

The brake light circuit is directly controlled by the BeCM under the passanger seat. If no one has touched the tail lights recently, then it is the body computer going bad. That normally happens around 130k.

My brakes are squeaking

Remove brake pads..front. Deglaze discs and pads and use created on the back of the pads.
Discs must be grease free.
When installed and sensor fitted, ensure sliders are free before pumping brake pedal a few times.
Road test and remember to bedcin brakes again for 500 miles

How to change brake pads front

First off have you worked on brakes before, if you have not, carefully consider your options. Yhe caliper has to be removed, piston reset and new pads fitted. The most difficult part of the procedure, is R/R of the anti-rattle spring without breaking it.

2001 kia sportage soft brake pedel still doing a complete brake job same as before changing the calipers/pads/ shoes /master cylinder /brake cylinders rear/ bleeding comp. system ? ANY HELP .yet the low...

hi from the uk have had this problem on a customers car b4 who had replaced frot calipers and pads and pedal went to floor on inspection of caliper i found that the steel spring clip that fits into two holes in the front face of caliper and must also locate behind the caliper carrierbehind two lugs was fitted incorrectly it had been fitted behind the outer pad resulting in when brake pedal off ?the caliper being floating type as it is known because it is fixed by two screw pins/bolts and moves on these pins/bolts as pads wear ? what happens is the spring fitted wrongly ? actually pushes against the outer pad and as a result the caliper piston is pushed back into its cylinder slightly as it moves on the locating pins/bolts resulting in pedal going to floor on 1st application but if pumped ? some brake pedal force is felt but is lost again when pedal released ? so try this ? remove the steel clips from both front calipers that retain caliper to carriers then press brake/pump pedal ? if as suggested above works? your pedal should pump up and remain ok when you release and still be firm when re applied ? all above is what i found on ford ford but many other models use similar calipers and spring locating recheck how this spring should locate hope this helps ? good luck

I had the brake pad light come on so I changed the pads, now I need to reset the warning message. How?

when changing the brake pads you also need to replace the pad sensor that runs into the left caliper in the front. Or the right caliper in the rear.
