The rings/seals on the valves are worn. You can buy an additive called restore from an auto parts place and see if this helps.

I still suggest the rings are worn especially if the car has been sitting. Its possible that the gas is bad and only time will I think you should run the car until the tank is almost emptey then put at least 10 gallons of 93 octane and see if it improves.

Dont worry about the oil, take care of the gas issue first.

Car quits when i slow down to come to a stop

Check for a vaccum leak. The easiest way to do this is by using a smoke machine. If you don't have one, you can buy a pack of cigs and blow alot of smoke into the intake boot where the air filter is until you see the smoke coming out of somewhere. If you've recently replaced anything, double check to make sure that you have all of the hoses and connectors in place, and all of the clamps tight.

Hello, I have a 2001 ford mustang gt. At times when I first start it up some white smoke is coming out of both exhaust pipes. I took it to my mechanic and he said it it probably oil getting in the...

usually:
white smoke is coolant leaking into the combustion chamber

blue-ish smoke is oil in the combustion chamber

black smoke is excessive fuel (running rich)

If it is white smoke, pull the oil dipstick and check to make sure your not getting coolant in your oil.
If thats okay check the compression on each cylinder to make sure your head gasket isn't leaking.

if your car is burning oil, you may need to replace your PCV valve(about $5).
As far as oil additives, try RESTORE

im going to just throw this out there but it could be the stand pipe in the fuel tank.i have a 96 gt and when i come to a hard stop or right hand turn the engine will turn off complety and sometimes will start back up so any way the only way to check this prob is to drain and drop down the fuel tank and see if there is a problem in the tank good luck

Oil pressure sometime goes too low causeing the oil light to come

Of course you realize that the pressure fluctuates according to your acceleration right? If it's going lower than it normally did than there can be a compression problem with the engine or possibly the oil pump is putting out a low output.
