If your toyota has one the cabin airfilter may be plugged up and the fan is drawing outside air in through the drain tube on the evaporator box

2008 Toyota Tacoma V6 Would the AC drain hose drip water onto the frame even if the AC was not used?

If there was a partial blockage in the drain at the ac box it is possible that water will still drip out over time . However some Toyota ac units use the same box for the heater core so I would be looking for a coolant leak in that area . Check coolant level and have a pressure test done on the coolant system to check for the leak. If the drain is in the frame under the car ,the water may be also from the windscreen plenum chamber that collects water from the windscreen and drains in that area.

On my 96 ford explorer, radiator level was down 1 gallon of water, put water in it and started the car and smokke/fumes came out of the front window defroster. what could cause that condition? ty

Well it depends - it could mean the heater core is leaking, but chances are the source is something leaking on the engine and the fumes/smoke was pulled into the heater defroster thru the outside vent in front of the windshield.

I have a 2001 Alero, rear defrost isn't working at all, frost inside my car, won't defrost and heat isn't working! :( HELP any idea's... I thought it was the heater core but there isn't any leakage un

You definatly have water inside the car. Pull the carpet back in the front and rear checking for water leaks. The only way frost can develope inside a vehicle is the presents of moisture.
The other possibility is your HVAC drain is plugged and water has built up inside the heater motor area. Have the drain checked and cleaned.

My defrost fan only works on 5 and shuts off. not defrosting. Also I have to continue to put anitfreeze in car... Temp gage goes to highest level

The fan problem could be a bad blower motor resister. As for the coolant leak it could be a number of things, hose, water pump, radiator or even heater core. Try to take a look under the hood to see if you see any leaks.

Heater fan Switch works sometimes sometimes it does not

There are two possible causes for this problem. If you meant the blower sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, you most likely need a new resistor it is an easily replaceable part, located below the glove compartment on the passenger side, inside the cab. If you meant that the switching from defrost to heat and vice-versa only sometimes works, your problem is most likely a vacuum leak. There is a hose that originates from the front bumper and controls things like whether you have heat or defrost, as well as cruise control and a few others. Often you can find the leak by spraying soapy water on the vacuum line and simply taping up the leak, or by replacing the (inexpensive) vacuum hose.

Hope this helps!
