Look for a line covered in black insulation and find what looks like a tire cap take that off and go from there.

How do I convert from r12 to 134a cooling refrigerant in a 1992 Buick Lesabre?

I think you can still find the old R12 at a premium price. It would be worth it if your air con system holds well with no significant leaks. Genuine 12 Refrigerant LARGE SIZE 2 14 oz Cans
The old refrigerant and oil are not compatible with the new stuff. The expansion valve is questionable, may or may not work properly. The oil in the compressor, in the evaporator, in the condensor, and in the accumulator/filter/dryer need be removed thuroughly. New service port adapters are installed. Then the new R134 can be introduced. You may find a conversion kit with instructions.
I recall a bulletin calling for replacing the oil and reusing the refrigerant, repeatedly, 2-3X, the final oil replacement gets the new refrigerant.
When ever the system is exposed to the atmosphere, it should be evacuated before refilling. So much to think about and consider.

Where is low side port to connect charge kit on a 1998 Buick Century Custom? Also, to be sure what type of refrigerant should be used? (R-134a) or different Thank You, Brandon

1998 Buick Century is factory-equipped with R134a refrigerent.

As for the service port, you just have to look for it. Not even the factory service manual will tell you exactly where it is located. It will be either on the accumulator itself or in the low pressure line between the accumulator and the compressor. (see diagram)

Will a 1995 buick leSabra engine work in a 1997 buick leSabre

Yes, as long as the engine mounts line up, a 95 engine will work in a 97. Be certain that the transmission in 97 will mount to the 95.

How to install side mirror on 97 buick lasabre

You'll need to remove the door panel. Once you do that you'll see the electrical connections and the screws holding it in place. Disconnect the plug and remove the screws. THe mirror will pop off and you can install the new one.

97 Buick Lesabre-Am I crazy or do you have to unhook the engine mount to replace serpentine belt,I hope im just missing something. Thanks for any help. Don

Not the whole mount! Raise the car, remove passenger front wheel. Remove two clips that hold splash guard that is in front of the lower part of that engine mount. You'll then see the lower stud with a nut on it. Remove that nut, remove stud with a socket, then remove the spacer that was around stud between bracket and engine. That opens a gap to allow the belt to go on.

Where is the A/C cutout switch located on 97 Buick

It has a low pressure sensor on the low side line. You put freon in first and when there is enough pressure the compressor will come on. Never straight wire it, you might cause more damage.

Installed a new AC Compressor in a 97 Buick LaSabre

I believe your system takes 134a refrigerant which you can get at most auto supply stores. However you replaced a major part so you will have to account for the lubricating oil which also circulate in the system. If you take it to a shop, have them include an ultra-violet tracable dye so any leaks can be detected.
The comprssor requires refrigerant to run from the control panel.

1990 Buick La sabre

R12 2.40 lbs.
134a 2.00 lbs
Depends if your car is converted from r-12 to 134a. It likely converted because r-12 is banned in the US.
