Nissan was always junk in my mind but lets see if we can figure it out repalce the red cable case its smoked and will give you problems latter on down the road second pop your fuse boxes and start pulling and testing the fuses to find burnded one's replace any you find bad if that does nothing you'll need to roll your sleeves up get a lil dirty make sure you look over the black cable/neg to make sure its not smoked either if that dont happen you'll probly wnat to take it to the shop of your choice and have them test it to see how bad the smoke out was chances are it not that bad good luck smokey.

Someone hooked jumper box up backwards on van and tried ti start it it ran great before that after it wouldn't start at all changed the computer now it starts runs a few mins then shuts off what could it...

You will have to take it to the Dealer. You may have burnt out or the "Control Module" needs to be replaced or reprogrammed. Make sure the battery has not reversed polarity also.

No acceleration gas pedal

Sorry to say, sounds as if you had cables hooked up backwards, or possibly just had very poor connection between battery and battery cable terminal. If you may have had jumper cables connected backwards, you may have fried some electrical component. Get someone to read the codes which are making the check engine light come on, and perhaps this will give a clue as to what component is blown. Could have damaged anything from a small sensor to the main computer, in which case I would check with salvage yard for a used unit. The main computer is quite pricey.

Saturn jumper cables hooked up backwards

Try charging the battery more. Even though your lights may come one, starting a vehicle requires massive amounts of amperage from the batter. It's possible that your jumper cables aren't a thick enough guage to supply enough power as well. Sometimes the vehicle you're jumping from might not have enough power to support your vehicle's starting power requirements.

I have a93 f 150 when i hook the pos cable to the battery the starter spins but the battery pos sparks ty

tHE STARTER RELAY is shorted and is stuck in the crank mode. The battery cable sparks because of starter load Relay must be replaced ot at least checked for the two small wires being crossed. One of the small wires on the relay should have current only when key is in crank position.
Remove the two small wires and see if it still cranks when battery is hooked up. If so, replace relay. The + cable goes from battery to relay. Ned

Not sure how to hook up plow motor to battery? Its an old fisher speedcast plow with cable controls thats electic over hydralic. It has pos and neg. cables and a solenoid on the pos. cable. I assume you...

The heavy + should be connected to the battery through the solenoid for the motor. There should be wires to control the solenoid (an electric switch, you know). The - goes to the truck's frame at a place of your choice. The ground must be solid, you know that, right?

I think if I were doing this install, I would hook the plow ground with the battery ground on the fame or where ever it is located.

The plow control should be mounted for your convenience inside the cab.

Lets review: Plow motor | ground to ground, hot to solenoid (motor side) | solenoid (battery side) to battery | solenoid control wires to cab.

Trying to change battery; sparking occuring

Hi Real,

Right, left, don't care. What matters is positive to positive and negative to negative.

Important: Wear proper eye protection when working with batteries.

The negative cable, regardless of color is the ground. It will be the one that is attached to the engine block, frame or both. It gets connected to the negative battery post, marked with a minus (-) sign. The other is positive..

If it sparks when you try to connect, that means something is drawing power. Make sure everything is off. Then try it again.

Comment me back with any remaining symptoms.

Best regards,
Mike
