Question about 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

2003 Tahoe 5.3 liter 82,000 miles

The past few weeks my wife has said that she is having trouble with the truck starting, it would not turn over, it would take 3 to 4 minutes or more to finally start. Yesterday I drove the truck worked fine, this morning it would not turn over and I have tried all day. Help! I had the battery checked and it's find, could it be the starter?

You can't rule anything out yet. It could be a plug or injector among other things, but probably not low fuel pressure. If you have a code 300 and nothing else, you may have to wait until the problem gets bad enough to set additional codes. And if any of the sensors fail, such as the cam or crank sensors, you'll get a code for those to be tested.
Have the plugs been checked or replaced in the past 30,000 miles ?

Two things to consider, actually 3 but if you're not hearing anything odd from the engine and you're not seeing any fluid leaking it's not your water pump. 1. it could be your fan clutch. 2. it could be your themostat, the latter being the most likely.P.S. Don't drive too far till it's fixed!!!

Grinding noise in front end

Hi
Had the exact same problem, on a used 2003 Protege ES with 82,000 miles that I purchased.
Started with the loud "road noise" I thought well maybe thats just the sound that it makes.
And then noticed that it varies when turning.
This will continue to get worse and then your abs light will come on when it gets bad enough to trigger the sensor..
It turned out to be a bad wheel bearing.
Take it to a shop and have an experienced mechanic check it out. Its repairable.

Check for vacuum leaks, especially the intake gaskets. Does it run rough on a cold start for a few seconds and then smooth out and run fine until the next cold start?
