Question about 1987 Nissan Pickup
This is carburated 4 cylinder, that is missing(strong like cutting out) under acceleration. Once the RPM are over 2000 there is not a noticeable problem, constant once the engine is warm but less noticeable when cold. I have checked for vacuum leaks, checked the timing, replaced the plugs, wires, 02 sensor, fuel and air filter , none of these had any affect.
May also want to check the EGR valve. Mine was full of carbon and not opening correctly and doing the same thing. If it is full of carbon you can clean it with a strong carb cleaner. I recommend auto zone brand carb cleaner in the blue and yellow can. Its cheap and way better than most name brand carb cleaners. Be careful not to spray it on paint or rubber hoses. I recommend removing the EGR valve to fully clean it.
