That depend on what harness you are looking for the ECUharness is located inside the car passenger side as you sit in the passenger seat it will be at the right side of your feetin behind the carpet just to the left of where your door hinges are.

its your distributor, its whats known as a mechanical advance i know it sounds wierd that distributor has 2 two modes cold start wich is for however long choke is set for and idle, trust i had the same problem and i only met 1 person that had the right answer .
possibly a malfunction in the computer that controls the 1984 camaros carb would close the carburetor completely, cutting off the fuel supply or leaving the carburetor completely open, flooding the engine and causing it to stall or flodding the engine at shut off
is batt charged-test it--make sure cables r tite at terminals--the inline fuse on batt cable may be disconnec--keep inspectin all wiring n harness for any flaw--some fuses that appear gud can be inoperable-get a tester
bruce in the wireharness on the plugins they have numbers, write them down and go to the neares chevy dealerchip,talk to the parts personel if posible to the parts manager.and talk to him about the problem you are running into ,then they can ck the numbers to see if you have the right wireharness for your z28 camaro,you might have a harness for a camaro but it could be tha its for a v6 or just a camaro, and not a z28 camaro that couid be the diference.let me know

you can get an "engin swap wiring harness" from jegs or summitt that would require a little extra work on the wiring on the inside of the vehicle, however if you have the original wiring harness for the 90 engine, there is a plug on the inside of the right(pass) fender of the camaro that connects the internal wiring to the external. (plus the fuse block connector under the hood on the firewall on the driver's side) as far as the trans. i did the same thing with mine and kept the 5 sp, the only real problem is that i don't have back up lights.
