Maybe you need to change the gas filters or maybe try better gas or maybe change the fuel pump.

MAF (masas air flow) can do this but you say it idles fine, So your connection of the distributor is not good, it has a tendency break internally it looks good on the outside but disconnects on the inside. The solution is the pigtail of the distributor

Wants to die after letting off gas peddle

Did you change your Mass Air Flow Sensor? Your air filter? Idle Air Control Valve? This sounds like you are having an air issue. Meaning that your vehicle is not being aloud to breath properly.

I have a 1996 gmc yukon 4x4 have flood problems I have put in new fuel pump has good fuel pressure changed coolant sensors changed throttle body changed computer plugs wires distributor cap and button coil...

Possibly a busted fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. The regulator is mounted to the end of the fuel rail.
With the engine idling, pull the vacuum line off the regulator port. If gas comes out of the port, replace the regulator.

I have a 1996 gmc suburban good fuel pressure and spark it will idle but when you bring up the rpms it dies out any ideas

what is the fuel pressure under a load? try disconnecting the MAF sensor if the fuel press is ok, if the MAF is bad the engine will run better.
