Question about 1986 Jaguar XJSC
The reason i am asking this is because me and my uncle are working on it and he is purchasing a new fuel pump but we dont know where it is and how hard it is to replace and instructions.....just making sure its not in the fuel tank itself
On later XJS Models, the fuel pump is indeed inside the fuel tank - The tank has to come out to change the pump. To do this, there are two collet type pipe connections under the left hand side of the car to disconnect fuel feed and return pipes. Take great care to position the fuel filler hose correctly on re-fitting.

The pump is behind the spare wheel in the boot. May have a plastic cover over it also. Has two wires and one pipe in and one pipe out. Fuel filtyer is in line with it.
