Question about 1997 Chevrolet Blazer

1 Answer

My blazer has a misfire i think or is going in and out of gear between 17 hundred rpms and 21 hundred rpms if you hold steady between these you can watch the tach bounce and feel the misfire past this though it seems to run fine the speed is between 30mph and 45mph ive tried it in just third gear and in overdrive trying to fix this ihave replaced ciol wires plugs cap and rotor same thing iwas told possible speed sensor but im tired of throwing money at another guess

Check fuel pressure should be 55 to 65PSI. Check ball valves on the spider fuel injector. Disconnect one by one plastic tubes from engine block, and use Non Corrosive Brake Fluid (green can) to make sure that the holes are not clogged. Good luck.

Why would a Chevy Blazer ZR 2001 have quickly fluquateting RPMS and sound rough while running after doing a timing kit change?

Probabitly the timing was not set right use a timing gun to see if the truck has the correct timing you may be off a tooth.

I don't think my 95 Grand Cherokee is shifting into overdrive all the time. Can you tell me what the RPMs should be for it running 65 MPH?

Depending on differential gearing, most run at about 21 hundred rpms @65. Overdrive usually shifts in at around 45mph. To see if it is engaged, while doing about 50, lightly tap the brake. That should momentarily disengage the od and the rpm's should increase for a moment. @45, you should notice the rpm drop when it engages initially.

I have a 2002 f150 4.6 codes p1131-p1151-po316-po306 runs bad under 1000 rpms wont idle going down road stumbles at steady 45 mph not sure what to do next what do u think

p0306 is a cyl #6 misfire
p0316 is unknown to me. sry.
p1131 and p1151 deal with the O2 sensors 1151 says Bank 2 Sensor #1 Heater Circuit intermittent. 1131 says that HO2S 11 indicates lean.

p0306. Check the plugs wires and coil at Cyl #6 (second one back from front on drivers side, if it's the same as my Stang)

I have a problem with a coolant leak on my 2000 Chevy Blazer. It's coming from the left side of the engine, about mid to lower engine. I can't see where the leak is coming from due to the leak bouncing off...

you could have a expansion plug on the left side of the engine block leaking antifreeze,if your blazer is a 4x4 remove the skid plate under the front bumper and you should be able to see where its leaking from,a water pump will be a steady drip while its running usually but a expansion plug will pour out very fast

first the flashing light means that it is trying to go into 4wd. as far as i know there is no adjustment. The shift motor may be bad, If the transfer case is shifting it could be the silinod in the front differantal.
