Remove brake caliper and then the three torx screws from factory rotor. (most replacement rotors omit the screw holes). Rotor will then pull off. If it is frozen in place, a couple of strikes to the rotor edges with a RUBBER mallett will usually break it loose.

Will a 1999ford Taurus transmission will fit in a 1995 Winstar van

No it will not, there are two transmissions availiable in both of those vehicles AX4S and AX4N.Both of these transmission had changes in 1997 that will keep them from retro fitting back. Also they will not interchange between each other because of different lengths and are wired differently.

How can i unhook the abs on a 98 ford winstar i want to see if the vibration in my breaks is the abs

I dont know of a way to shut off the abs. If the vibration you feel seems to be in sync with the wheels when you press down on the pedal it is PROBABLY a warped rotor. This is much more common than an abs problem. Probably cheaper to fix too. An easy test is to get your van up to about thirty and depress the break, you will feel the pedal pulse slower and slower as the van slows down. In general as the warped part of the rotor goes through the caliper it pushes back against your foot. That is what you are feeling.

If you are a do it yourselfer, just pull the tires and the calipers off, and take the rotors to most any break shop. Most shops around me charge less than 20 dollars per rotor to turn the true again. Not often but sometimes you can get deals on brand new rotors... Check with your local autozone for prices.

Best of luck

make sure the wheel hub surfaces are clean and free of rust both in front of and behind the rotors. also check that your rear brake adjusters are working correctly. also check wheel berring, balljoint and tierod ends for play. theres should be no play and berring should spin free of noise.

o.k... the first thing you have to remember is never panic... because panic get's people hurt... with me. o.k... second thing... i'm going to bet you wore down the rotors on the car... because once you wear the breaks down enough... you're bound to get the rivits dug into the rotors... which isn't good, you know how the old records use to look like... with the groves in it... that's more or less how rivits do to rotors... but not to worry, now... depending on how bad the rotors look... some can be turned and made like new... other's... well... they'll have to be replaced... and that's o.k... new is good, now... if you bough new breaks one week... and put them on... even though the rotors were slightly groved... that's fine... because when you get the money together... and you change the rotors... the breaks will be groved some... but... the good thing is... the new rotors will wear down the breaks and make them flat again... so you don't have to change the breaks againg until it's time... so we're o.k. rotors are betwee $20 to $65... each... not too bad, once you change the breaks... and the rotors... things shoud be fine as far as the break warning light... as far as the changing gears light... don't know man... maybe it'll be fixed when the breaks are... you know... any way... change the breaks... and the rotors... disconnect the battery for 1 minute to clear out any codes... the reconnect... and you should be fine... o.k. later
