Question about 1982 Ford F 250
Usually, this is caused by a discharged battery, corroded battery connectors, or cables. Turn the lights on--do they shine brightly? Now try the starter with the lights on--do the lights dim out? Have someone check the battery voltage at the posts while trying the starter. The battery should remain near 12.6 volts or a little less. If it drops to a low reading, charge the battery with low current charger for about 8 hours. Less time with higher current charging. Hope this helps!
