It could be that you need to adjust your distributor cap, you might be idling too low. That's one of the problem's i'm currently having with my own. (I haven't adjusted it yet, but it is the biggest possibility of your problem.)

Why does Battery drain after car sits?

There is a component in the vehicle drawing power that should be shut down when the vehicle is shut down.

Tests need to be run to identify which component is drawing the power when the vehicle is idle.

Here is an article and video on the subject to give you some background. You need to get the car to a competent mechanic to run tests for you.

Stops running

What kind of car is it? Is it manual or automatic transmission? Also, I would suggest checking your idle air control valve. That allows the cars idle to rise when you come to a complete stop. If it sticks then the vehicle will idle too low and stall. Or it could be that your idle adjustment is too low, that is a screw located on the throttle manifoldddepending on your vehicle type. I hope this at least put a you in a better direction.

Rough idling

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

My vehicle keeps shutting off when I slow down or stop.

sounds like the idle air motor is not working..try tapping the motor lightly while the engine is running.see if it tries to keep a idle.if so replace idle air motor and clean the port underneath the motor.
