Alternator makes a loud whining noise tht can also be heard through the car's stereo speakers.


It sounds like a condenser in your alternator that works like an isolation transformer in stereo equipment to stop a ground loop between two components. Its allowing a frequency to just pass thru without stopping it at the source.
