How do i change the serpintine belt on a 1998 oldsmobile eighty eight?

This is what I could find. I'm not familiar with your car. But depending on the tensioner tipe. You might have to push the tensioner pulley down with a socket wrench. To remove the belt.

How to replace the brakes on a 1998 Eighty Eight Oldsmobile. How do you get the mounting bracket off so the new pads can be put on?

Different bolts are used for different GM model cars. A Torx or a regular hex socket is sometimes used on GM cars. 2 of them hold the bracket on to the hub assembly.

Be sure to support the caliper with a coat hanger or bungy cord so the flexible brake line is not damaged.

Also, it is a good idea to use a Torque wrench (1/2" or 3/8") to get the proper torque of these bolts back to specifications according to your repair manual.

I just had the brakes redone on our 1998 olds 88 new pads new rotors and when we got it back the abs light and the traction off light stay on but not all the time and just this morning the brakes went out...

Take it back! The ABS lights, etc could just be they forgot to connect one of the wheel speed sensors, but the brakes going out completely means they screwed something up. If they are not working, have it towed back and repaired correctly!
