Where is fuel filter located on 87 eldorado 4.1?

Fuel filter should be just in front of the fuel tank. There is also a filter sock in the tank on the fuel pump. Regulator should be at the engine near the fire wall usually in the fuel line. There should be a Schrader valve (like a tire valve) with a green cap on it this is where you connect a pressure gauge . It is between the engine and the regulator.

2000 Silverado 1500: location of fuel presure regulator...

The regulator is on the fuel rail on the driver side of the motor. Look for a vacuum line that plugs into the top of the regulator. If you suspect yours is bad, with the engine shut off pull the vacuum line off. If gas runs out then the regulator is bad.
