Check the continuity of your plug wires and cap/ rotor contacts if applicable. Dirty injectors are also a possibility. A shop computer diagnostic would be a worthwhile investment to prevent further problems. Basics like fuel & air filters and clean throttlebody/ mass air flow sensor can all be contributing factors...Also check for leaking injector o-rings at intake manifold and fuel rail...

Mazda 6 2004 auto, hold light blinks and engine check light stays on

It could possibly be an emission problem or ur transmission. Most likely your transmission especially if theres a lot of miles. With a problem like this there is no specifics to truely point out what it is. I suggest taking it to a mechanic that can plug it into a computer and tell u the code of the problem and then go from there

When driving at 40 and accelarate the revs go up quickly but the speed hardly changes

you indicate you may have a slipping transmision, check fluid levels , check for dirty transfluid that smell of dirty dishwater or burnt smell, sounds like it is a trans problem for sure, anytime the revs go up and vehicle speed does not change then it points to a trans problem...could be torque converter and or bad worn clutches in trans or even low trans fluid pressures...

Acceleration problems, juddering on a 1.2 16v 2001 plate.

these cars are really acute with there problems and this such prob is usually caused by the air filter needing changing, and full service with plugs and leads doesnt usually go a miss. when was the last time it had new oil and plugs and leads and filters?
