My car beeps the yellow engine light comes on and it just cuts out

Your vehicle may be equipped with low oil pressure engine protection. If so, that issue may need addressed first. Low oil pressure sw cuts off fuel pump, saving engine from catastrophic failure.

I'd start with a thorough check of all your engine area harness connections making sure the multi plugs are properly home. Then any ground cables for a good clean connection. Has it had any work recently that could lead to a trapped part of the harness? I can't say whether the poor running is part of the electrical gremlins but as most engines have lots of electrical devices, who knows.

I recently purchased a 2005 Z4 (76,000 miles), and I just experienced the same thing (beep, then yellow Brake and Triangle Light (w/exclamation point/semicircle appears on dashboard). It is intermittent. Did you ever find a solution?

check battery and charging system

Check to see that your battery is secured. See if you can wiggle it. Make sure all battery terminal connections are tight, and all ground wires.

orange engine light keeps flashing and car seems to want to cut out also making dreadful noise like something has fallen help!!

you have really problem of starting the engine once theft light comes on. these because of the security system cuts off power of the fuel pump. you can cut the yellow wire(tape it) on the steering colume just to make the engine start and the car be use.
after, if you want to put your car in standard change the Anti-theft system.

GOOD! I assume the CHECK ENGINE (yellow) light comes on!... correct? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.

When your ASC light is on this is to let you know your Automatic Stability Control system is switched off press the ASC button Till light is off /ASC is on this works with your rev limiter and should stabilized your idle. If the problem persists have your throttle control unit checked as thi can trigger the ASC light as well and may also activate the ABS light if not fixed
