By cranking up the front end using the torsion bars you'll also be altering the camber adjustment of the steering wheels, which is not a good idea....You'll also be altering the handling characterisicts of the vehicle and it could become very unstable on the road....Watch out!

I have a 2006 holden rodeo dual cab, 3.6L v6 with tail lights playing up.. On closer inspection I cannot see any chassis earthing/grounding leads present. Is this correct on these?

Check the bulb housing and reflectors . It the housing is plastic with a metal bulb housing moulded in then there should be a black wire attached to the bulb housing. I suspect that it will be all plastic so you will have a return earth wire.

I cant get the rear brake drums off as the screw to loosen the shoes looks like it can only be tightened and not loosened on my 2001 holden rodeo dual cab

It can be tightened by just rotating, as this is the automatic adjustment that occurs as the show wears down..........but, you have to manually pry away the locking tab to be able to rotate anticlockwise to loosen it....you will notice this.....

2002 holden rodeo automatic transmision oil capacity

The filter doesn't take any oil, but when they figure the quantity, they figure either filter change or rebuild, the filter change uses about 5 quarts and the rebuild is 12 quarts. I don't have the exact amounts in front of me, but if you need them,I can look them up. Also, I am not familiar with the Holden dual cab, But most automatics are about the same. Hope this helps.

NEW CLUTCH SLIPPING ON 2004 V6 HOLDEN RODEO

did you bleed the hydralic clutch system on this vehicle? = air in system or not bleed properly.
most of the flywheels for this model were not to be machined...... however it is ok to machine these only slightly but you must machine the surface the clutch plate contacts with the same amount as the outer raised section the pressure plate bolts to.
new flywheels have painted stamped writing saying do not machine...so if hydralic system is ok find out about flywheel.
also may pay to check clamping force of pressure plate most clutch places can do this or some workshops that is if fingers on pressure plate are all at the same height, not broken or cracked..

Tire size & Suspension confusion:

31x10.50r15s will rub the front fender while turning if you dont install either a suspension or body lift. Adding a leaf spring to the rear will not neccessarily raise the vehicle you must add a block to the spring seat to raise the height. However you can use 30x9.50r15 without any modification. Hope that answers your question.

Advice needed

I believe the 97 Montero is still with torsion bars? If so these may be tightened abit to raise the fron and and then new springs for the rear. However do do it properly I'd replace both the torsion bars and the rear springs. There are after market products out there which will give you @ 2" of lift without harming ride too much.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
