Question about 1991 Ford F150

1986 Ford F-150 300 Inline-6

Ive had this truck for a few years now and when I took it out last it was hard to get it to stay started because it wont run cold for some reason. after it warmed up it began to knock and wont accelerate at all. Could this be a lifter problem, or carb problem?

The car wont stay running when in the run possion

OK lets start with this..

I am guessing that when you say possion you are meaning you gear selector and when you put it in say drive.

If that is the case.....

Your problem is most likely the fuel pump relay or fuel pump itself.
Start with checking, or have it checked, the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

If the pressure is low then a fuel pump can be suspect. There are then other test which have to be performed to see where the exact problem is.

1986 Ford Thunderbird Heater Core leaking...

According to the book, 1 day. You'll have to schedule the event with your handy motor shop.

I'd like to do the repair myself on my own 1987, and according to the Haynes & Chilton's books, the repair requires removing the dash and evacuating the AC. I'm not willing to evacuate the AC, so for the last ten years I've been living without a heater. Lucky for me I'm in Florida!
