I would say that you are having a fuel problem. Not sure where to tell you to start. If the car cranks for more than a second, then take some starting fluid and spray in the air filter. If it starts right up then it is for sure a fuel problem. It could be the fuel pump not pumping enough pressure, fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel filter. That is where I would start!

Hi! Have you tried swapping the PCM (powertrain control module)?. THe PCM has connectivity on all electrical system that runs inside the car including the engine, transmission, accessories, etc. If the PCM is faulty the engine fails too. Try to swap the PCM and this may resolve it. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

98 Dodge Stratus runs rough, stalls, is running hot. I replaced the cam and crank shaft position sensors when the codes came up, also replace the fuel pump a few months ago. Now this. It also doesn't start...

Well the timing belt and water pump either work or they don't. So I doubt either part has actually failed.
I think I would want to figure out the running hot problem first since that could cause the other two if its a leaking head gasket.

Replace water pump cost

the time to replace is 3.8 hours. multiply this by the shop flat rate and this will give you a labor rate. call some local parts houses to find the price on the pump, dodge gets around 98dollars hope this helps, depending on when you last changed the timing belt you ight want consider doing this at this time as it has to come off to change the water pump. this is an interference engige if the belt breaks it will damage the valves, you should only have to pay for the belt. hope this helps if not ghet back tome and i'll try to help you further. please rate my fix, as i strive to the best Thanks Ray
