The solution I usually recommend is to try a 'lifetime' warranteed alternator from a major automotive retail outlet. Higher quality parts are put into such a unit vs. the 1 year warranteed alternators.

This is just a general rule I go by.

If you already have a lifetime warranteed alternator, I would try a different brand or company.

Where did you buy this alternator? And how much was the unit?

Generally, I would look to spend over $100 for a good alternator with higher quality parts in it.

If the problem persists, one might want to go to an alternator/starter shop or auto electric specialty shop to determine what is causing the alternator to go bad so often.

However, I suspect that it's just bad parts from the get go.

A family friend who is a mechanic fixed it for me. i believe i spent around 200 total for the fix, and the alternator is a lifetime warranty. i just dont know why the same product would go bad 3 times in a row! its nuts

I agree, it is unusual for alternators to go bad in sequence especially when it is lifetime warranted.

The next stop is the auto electric shop to see if there is another problem causing the alternators to go bad.

Perhaps, a specialty shop that deals with alternators/starters exclusively can help you out.

Charge light, abs light, and rear light. Mazda 626 1993 2.5L

It can be as simple as the funny belt tensioner on the alternator!

I hope you got a simple volt meter to check the voltage.

12.8-13.6V is a health battery.

Get someone to help you to put tension on alt. belt.

If it does not look good then change it.

Double check all belts.

The should not give over 1/2" I like to keep them 1/3" of less.

Tighten all connections.

Pull spark plug cap one at at time to check for corrosion.

The coil can cause a lot of problem.

Spend time to grounding and secure all coil boot.

Good luck

If the charge light is flashing, then staying on, there is something wrong w/ the charging system. Most parts stores offer a free check of your charging system. Have it checked out, there's a good chance u need a new alternator. Let me know what u find. Good luck!
