For some reason I think it's electronic controlled and not vacuum modulated. I could be wrong. Good luck

Location of vaccum modulator valve on a 99 ford ranger

There isn't one , transmission is controlled electrically . If it doesn't shift right have it checked for DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes . Does the speedometer work ? VSS - vehicle speed sensor , input speed sensor .

Location of vacuum modulator for transmission 1995 Ford Crown Victoria LX

There is no vacuum modulator valve , this transmission is all electrical controlled . What seams to be the problem ? no shifting , shifting hard ETC....... shift solenoid inside the transmission maybe , input or out put speed sensor bad . Do you have a check engine light lit ? There probably is a DTC - diagnostic trouble code .

Need to see diagram for 88 jeep Cherokee Laredo straight 6 for vacuum line for transmission

in the USA? 4.0L engine.
So that be automatic.
and some have a vacuum modulator.
some dont.
if it does, its just a vacuum line from the modulator to the plenum.
the modulator uses hard vacuum to sense engine load, to delay shifting/

some EPA hood stickers fail to show this hose.
because its a trans hose and not related to smog.
only this is covered in the FSM.
surely you can find the empty nipple in the plenum
but is this and engine swap, and missing this?

I owned 3 1988 2 JX and 1 Comanche.

id find a vaccum line under full vacuum under idle. 20inches is typcal. (cant find real nipple?)
then add TEE fitting to this line and to trans.
end story.

there are 2 kinds of vacuum./
vsv solenoid switched, (like that on EGR)
direct plenum vacuum (bingo!)
and ported vacuum, weak or no vacuum at all at idle.

easy huh?, just use the hard vacuum line,, or make one.

Does the code po128 have any thing to do with the auto trany shifting hard at times had the trany fluid and filter replaced today has not shifted hard today yet anyway .paved $2200. because check eng

code says its the coolent temp. The sensor may be bad or your car is overheating, transmission problem is probably the transmission control selonoid or module.

99 chevrolet venture code p0742 what is this shifts hard sometimes and then it dont do it for a while

this is a shift solenoid code. The part is located in the transmission. Your going to have to pay the piper in order to get to the root cause. There is no other option.

My 2000 venture some time shifts hard. I had the filter & fluid changed but it still every now then does it. I was told that the shifting is electronic controlled. I am thinking it is a loose wire or...

It is true that it is electriconically controlled but probably not connection, sometimes the solinoid switches it the transmission can stick I would buy a can of "TransX" and put it in there it helps for sticking solinoids, slipping transmissions, and hard shifting. You can get it at wal-mart or your local part store It comes in a blue can and says TransX on it.

Transmission will not shift out of first gear.

Check the vacuum line going to the shift module on the drivers side of the transmission. If theres a vacuum leak there, the transmission will either shift very hard or not at all.
