03 nissan sentra 1,8L it keeps trying to turn off and the engine shakes really bad when i have the car in drive with the break on. Like at a stop sign. when i speed up it shakes and then all is fine when i reach about 30mph. can anyone help?

Open your hood and see if the vacuum hose from your power brakes has come loose,it goes to the intake manifold.

MAKE SURE THE THROTTLE BODY IS CLEAN AND THE IDLE CONTROL IS WORKING CHECK FOR VACUUM LEAKS AND ENGINE CODE . MAKE SURE FLUID ARE GOOD

Check for bad thermostadt, or leaky hoses or radiator, do it soon, before engine damage occurs.

Sounds like brake light switch just above brake pedal is bad. If you unplug it, you might as well replace it your self.

Have you checked the oiler supply to the timing chain and the chain tensioner Just a thought. The guides usually only break from the lack of tension on the chains.

you hit the nail on the head ,cold and silicone chips ,they do not like the cold weather they can be temperamental to say the least ,as for finding the faulty component you will need an identical car that works ok ,then when yours will not start try swopping bits till you hit the one causing the problem.or sell it for a nice manual diesel version,

I had the same problem. It was the intake gasket, very common in this model. A $12.00 gasket - Nissan wanted $1000.00 to install it. I got it done for $327.00 - engine light still remains on but car drives just fine.

You need to replace the Thermostat and gasket very quickly as you are damaging the engine when it overheats. Your thermostat is not opening at all preventing the coolant from reaching the engine, cooling it off and sending the now heated coolant into the heater core to keep you warm. The shaking may or may not go away once this is fixed.

nah, I have over 203miles on mine. Still has a way to go. Check your plugs for the dying. For the shaking, try a tire rotation. Could be the tires as well. Have you hit any curbs recently?
